                              Dr. La’Kendra W. Garrett is a dedicated educator and leader committed to fostering
                                 inclusive, high-achieving school communities. With more than 15 years of experience
                                 as a teacher, coach, and administrator, she has built a career centered on equity,
                                 innovation, and student success. 
 
Currently serving as Principal of Robinson Elementary School in the Kirkwood School
                                 District, Dr. Garrett leads with a focus on instructional excellence, restorative
                                 practices, and strong community engagement. Her leadership has strengthened school
                                 culture, improved academic outcomes, and advanced professional development for staff. 
 
Previously, she served as Assistant Principal in the Ladue School District, where
                                 she oversaw daily operations, safety initiatives, assessment coordination, and teacher
                                 development across two elementary schools. She also directed the district’s Secondary
                                 Summer School, recruiting top talent and ensuring academic success for students in
                                 credit recovery programs. 
 
Earlier in her career, Dr. Garrett distinguished herself as a TAP Master Teacher and
                                 classroom educator, providing instructional coaching, data-driven planning, and professional
                                 learning to elevate teaching practices. She is an active member of national and state
                                 professional organizations, further advancing her impact on education. 
 
Dr. Garrett’s career reflects her deep belief that all students deserve equitable
                                 opportunities, supportive environments, and the tools to thrive academically and socially.
