Master of Arts in Teaching

Become the Teacher You Strive to Be With Your Master of Arts in Teaching Degree

Maybe you’ve worked in human services or a related field. You’ve witnessed how quality schooling — or a lack thereof — can affect a child’s entire being. Now, you’ve developed a strong interest in teaching at the K–8 level.
Or perhaps you obtained your non-teacher bachelor’s degree in a subject area taught in schools, like English, mathematics, health, science, or social studies. Now, you wish to put your education to use in a new way — teaching K–12 students.
Regardless of how you arrived at this point, South Carolina State University’s Master of Arts in Teaching degree program will prepare you for initial certification to pursue your new goal — to become a teacher.

Choose a master’s degree for teaching focused on your success
