With the growing population of Spanish speakers in South Carolina and the nation, the Spanish minor will be valuable for many career fields. The ability to converse with Spanish speakers is increasingly a desired skill in many careers in the United States.
To minor in Spanish, students need to complete three upper-division courses after completing the two-year Spanish 101-202 series of courses. The minor is crafted to benefit students considering careers in criminal justice, social services, law, education, and health services.
Students who minor in Spanish and excel may be eligible to participate in the SC State chapter of the Spanish Honor Society.
