Technology Education Degree Program Highlights
At SC State, our technology education courses help you develop a strong foundation in the technical skills and matters needed to teach technology education in school systems here in the Palmetto State and beyond. Our teaching technology in education program stands out because you:
Gain personalized attention from supportive faculty
Our small student-to-faculty ratio (15:1) enables our technology in education faculty members to provide you with one-on-one advising and mentoring. Most of our technology education courses have fewer than 20 students.
Take on hands-on learning throughout your studies
You’ll have ample opportunities, throughout your four years, to take what you’ve learned in technology education courses and put it into action. During your final semester in the teaching technology in education program, you’ll also complete an on-site field experience in a local classroom. No matter your interests, at SC State, you’ll be prepared to teach technology in educational settings at all levels.
Thrive in a supportive campus environment
All technology education degree students are assigned faculty members who help them explore career opportunities and can answer any questions. You’ll also have access to academic advisers who can help you during any of your technology education courses and as you pursue technology teaching certification.
