Ms. Grate is a dedicated member of the SC State community, having served the university for an impressive 30 years. Throughout her tenure, she has taken on various roles, each contributing to the growth and success of the institution. Most recently, Ms. Grate served as the director of judicial affairs, playing a vital role in promoting a safe and supportive campus environment for all students. Prior to this position, she also served as the Former Director of Residence Life and Housing, ensuring that students have a comfortable and enriching living experience on campus. Her commitment to student life and development extends beyond housing and judicial affairs, as she also served as the assistant director of Student Life and Leadership. In this role, she played an instrumental part in fostering student engagement and leadership opportunities, empowering students to thrive academically and personally. Before her leadership roles, Ms. Grate served as an administrative specialist in the English and Humanities Program, where she provided invaluable support to faculty and students in the department.
Additionally, she contributed her expertise to the ROTC-ESTP (Enhanced Skills Training and Program) as an Administrative Specialist, further showcasing her versatility and dedication to serving various aspects of the university community. With three decades of service to SC State, Ms. Grate's passion for higher education and student success remains unwavering.
