Carla B. Mitchell

Carla B. Mitchell manages the Athletics Ticket Office, where she oversees the ticketing operations for three revenue sports: football, women's basketball, and men's basketball. In this capacity, she is responsible for facilitating the sale and distribution of tickets to fans and ensuring a smooth ticketing process for these sporting events.

Background

Mitchell has been a dedicated member of the university community since August 1, 2000. She started her journey at the University Foundation, where she contributed her skills and expertise. Later, on August 1, 2005, she transitioned to her current position in ticketing operations, where she continues to excel in her role.

She also had an eight-year stint with the Montgomery & Company Insurance Agency where she was a licensed property and casualty agent. A native of Orangeburg, S.C., Mitchell graduated from SC State with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.  She is also an alumna of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School.

Mitchell is an active member of Andrew Chapel Baptist Church, SC State University National Alumni Association, SC State Employees Association, National Association of College Directors of Athletics, and The STATE Club.

She is the proud mother of three adult children, Shannon Rashad, Kimberly Nichole, and Emanuel Desane and one granddaughter, Nova Victoria. She is a daughter of an SC State College graduate (Myrtle Gooden, BA-French 1970 & MEd. 1977).  She enjoys spending time with her family and attending sporting events..
