Dante Mozie
Mozie teaches courses in journalism history and theory, as well as production-based courses in media writing and editing.
Mozie also conducts and has published research that is primarily focused on media history and entertainment studies. Mozie presented his work at various regional, national, and international conferences. This includes the annual Association for Education in Journalism and Communication (AEJMC) Conference and the American Journalism Historians Association (AJHA) National Convention.
Additionally, Mozie is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Carolina School of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Since joining S.C. State in 2011, Mozie received a number of honors for teaching, research and service. This includes:

Research Interests
Mozie's research interests include minority media history, with a particular focus on alternative media and collegiate student newspapers, and entertainment studies.
