Darryl Johnson

The role of the Coastal Regional Director role is to provide leadership, coordination, staff supervision, serving as liaison at state and local levels, implementing Extension programs per the Plan of Work.

Education

• B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, 1986, SC State College.
• M.S. Degree in Agribusiness, 1989, SC State University.

Background

 Johnson has been employed with SC State for over a quarter century. He has worked as a 4-H agent, agriculture agent, family life agent, photographer, cooperative advisor, grant writing assistant, and an administrative coordinator.

He was a manufacturing engineer with KOYO Bearing Manufacture in Orangeburg, SC. He also worked as an engineering technician at the Naval Shipyard in Charleston, SC, and worked as an engineering technician at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) in N. Charleston, SC.

He is a graduate of the SC Leadership Program, Orangeburg, Leadership.
