Edoe Agbodjan
Dr. Edoe Agbodjan oversees management of federal grant programs and identifies new sources of potential grant funding. Select, develop, lead and coach staff within the 1890 Extension unit to achieve goals and objectives. He develops and maintains positive relationships with external customers and other professionals including internal and external auditors. He identifies operational gaps or weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement to operational procedures as needed.
He also serves as a liaison between government officials and community leaders. Actively participated as a member of the senior leadership team of the 1890 Research and Extension Program and serves as chief advisor of the Executive Director of 1890 Research and Extension. He provides leadership for the overall planning, direction and management of the 1890 Extension Program. He reviews current and pending Federal and State legislation guidelines affecting the 1890 system. Additionally, he ensures that all programs and activities are implemented in accordance with the Federal approved plan of work, meets all civil rights guidelines and contributes toward meeting the strategic planning initiatives of the university.

Background
Agbodjan has worked for 1890 Research & Extension in various capacities since 1997. He started his SC State career as associate/assistant extension county agent for 1890's Extension Office in Greenwood, South Carolina, and later became the office's extension agent and county extension director. He also has served as Agriculture and Natural Resource Program coordinator, Small Farm Assistance and Outreach Program senior extension director, and acting associate extension administrator. Agbodjan was principal investigator for the 1890 Land Grant Universities Center of Excellence for Innovative and Sustainable Small Farms, Ranches and Land Owners Grant, 2016-2017.
