Janae Sweeney
Dr. Janae Sweeney serves as an assistant professor of biology in the Department of Biological & Physical Sciences. In addition, she is the SCSU lead of the SC CADRE/U54 Biorepository (a collaborative grant partnership with the Medical University of South Carolina). Sweeney also runs a research lab in Leroy Davis Hall conducting Prostate Cancer/Cellular Biology research.

Background
Sweeney has been teaching at SC State University for a total of four years. Three as a Visiting Instructor and currently one as Assistant Professor of Biology. In addition to teaching at SC State University in the Department of Biological Sciences, she was also hired as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Clark Atlanta University while seeking her doctoral degree.
