Oliver Ward Freeman II
Oliver Ward Freeman II oversees, plans, designs, and implements project activities using research-based findings in sustainable agriculture, natural resources and the environment to solve problems in the SCSU 1890 Coastal Region.
Background
Since May 2022 he has served as the Regional SANRE extension agent with South Carolina State University’s 1890 Research and Extension Program in the Coastal Region in Charleston, South Carolina. Prior to this, he had a position with the USDA-NRCS in Michigan as a Soil Conservationist/Agronomist. He then worked for the 1890 programs for Central State University in Ohio and for Kentucky State University. From here, he returned to the USDA-NRCS as a Soil Conservationist/Agronomist before pursuing my current position with SCSU 1890.
