SC State’s I.P. Stanback Museum & Planetarium to host Etu Evans Foundation’s Shoebox Santa Toy Drive on Friday
ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The Etu Evans Foundation will conduct its annual Solesville Holiday Event on Friday,
Dec. 6, at South Carolina State University and Saturday, Dec. 7, at Al’s Barbershop.
The two-day event featuring the artists Patro “Pero” Ulmer and Ashley Greene will
benefit children affected by Hurricane Milton, as well as re-entry and homeless organizations
in the community.
The event is held in partnership with South Carolina State University’s I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium, the Samaritan House of Orangeburg, ScottCares Foundation, Beulah Cares and Powerlifter
Foundation.
Friday, Dec. 6, I.P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium
The Shoebox Santa Toy Drive will take place from 5-9 p.m. at the I.P. Stanback Museum
and Planetarium, SC State University, 300 College St. NE.
The community is invited to a semi-formal evening filled with festive cheer. All
are encouraged to donate toys or tax-deductible contributions. Guests will enjoy delectables
from Sifted Sugar, the Edisto Beer Garden, and the three-time Award Winning "World
Famous Rachelle's Island Tea."
Saturday, Dec. 7, Al's Barbershop
The Solesville Shoe Drive will be held from 1- 5 p.m. at Al's Barbershop, 1504 Wingate
St., Orangeburg.
Bishop Hayes T. Gainey, Jr. and the Good Shepherd Community Ministry will be partnering
with Solesville to help recipients put their best foot forward. The community is invited
to bring shoes to donate to benefit local re-entry and homeless organizations.
