South Carolina State University celebrated its annual Youth and ROTC Day on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024. Many participants wore pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
Month. Youth and ROTC Day is an opportunity for middle and high school students to learn
about the university's academic programs, athletics, extracurricular activities, campus
life and the Army ROTC Bulldog Battalion. Youth groups from schools, Junior ROTC programs,
churches and other organizations are invited to the SC State campus for a glimpse
of life as a Bulldog. The annual event is jointly organized by SC State Athletics and the Department of
Military Science in collaboration with the Office of Admissions, Recruitment and Scholarships.
The special guest this year was 5-year-old hip-hop artist Van Van. The day was capped off by the Bulldogs' 30-3 victory over the Fort Valley State Wildcats.
