SC State Announces 2025 Spring Commencement Details

Important Information for Graduating Seniors and Families

South Carolina State University will hold its 2025 Spring Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Oliver C. Dawson Football Stadium.

The ceremony will celebrate the achievements of the graduating seniors.

Graduating students will receive official information from the University’s Registrar's Office and are encouraged to order their academic regalia from the University Bookstore as soon as possible to ensure availability.

Graduation rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 9 a.m. at the Oliver C. Dawson Football Stadium. During rehearsal, each graduating senior will receive guest tickets, which will be used in case of inclement weather.

South Carolina State University will conduct Fall 2024 Commencement Convocation on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024, beginning at 10 a.m. in Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
