Since its founding in 1896, South Carolina State University has been guided by the steady hand of its presidents and leadership. They've steered the university as it evolved into the nationally renowned institution we know today, and oversaw the education and success of thousands of students.
Today, the Office of the President is responsible for the leadership, policy, and oversight of SC State. That means they make the decisions about the day-to-day running of the school and form the strategic plan and vision that will guide SC State into the future, ensuring its vibrancy, value, and access for future generations of students.
